急，帮个朋友问一下，她家孩子飞机航班时间的关系，想在机场附近酒店住一晚上，请问18岁以下的孩子可以自己入住吗？

一般酒店会有规定18岁以下要成年人陪同入住，但不同酒店对规定的执行力度不一样。我知道几个月前一个不到16周岁的孩子去 Peddie School 和 St Alban's School 面试，都毫无麻烦的入住了当地酒店。如果碰到要求严格的酒店，就换一家酒店再试，反正机场附近的酒店很多。 这有个旧帖，可以参考一下http://www.findingschool.net/answers/9151

一般寄宿美高10年级有多少国际生名额啊？

这个没有定数，不但不同学校不一样，同一学校不同年份也不一样。比如去年St Anne's-Belfield School 一个十年级的位置都没有，而Concord Academy 却有7个十年级的位置。 申请十年级前，一定要先确定好位置数量再申请。

大家好！我是Rita，今年10年级马上读11年级。现在就读于杭州外国语学校本部，是一所不错的学校（请问对申请美高是否有帮助？）我参加了一个与学校有合作的交换项目，今年八月赴美交换。交换的学校是一所德克萨斯州的普通公立学校。本来是抱着体验生活的目的参加交换项目，所以没有考虑学校学术方面的好坏。现在考虑读完一年公立高中转学到私立11升11。初三考过一次托福113，新SAT有把握可以在今年12月之前考到1500 。口语不错，对英语很有兴趣，参加过美式辩论比赛，杭州赛区十佳辩手和前四强，初二时参加希望之星杭州市亚军。之前有参与过一个英语支教的活动，坚持了3个学期每周五去萧山支教，最后一个学期是leader。兴趣爱好比较广泛，但都是只懂一些皮毛，喜欢花样滑冰，学习了半年，喜欢马术，也稍微学了一点。其他的爱好感觉对申请并无帮助，比如旅游、做菜、烘焙。个人比较喜欢语言，请问是否有必要在这一年里多学一门外语，比如日语？西班牙语？（我所在的城市距离墨西哥很近，有很多西班牙裔美国人）目前的目标是在公立学校好好学习争取1%，Sat考出理想分数，多参与一些活动和体育运动。然后推荐信就让现在学校的老师们写，表现好点啦~看了之前的帖子，很少有11升11的案例，10升10一般都说很难名额很少。请问从公立学校转学会不会比国内申请稍微容易一些？目前对自己的定位并不十分准确，案例比较少，也不清楚我们学校比较好对申请是否有帮助。现在的定位是 Reach school： The Hockaday School（因为在德州会不会方便一些？）Match school： Dana Hall School，The Madeira School，Indian Springs School（有同学在那里读）Safe：完全没想法 我觉得match school 也许有点悬，其实只要100名以内都可以，适合自己的最好，当然能排名靠前一点也好啦，偏爱女校。希望大家给我一些指点！谢谢！

你现在的情况有点曲线救国的意思。11转11会比直接从国内申11有优势， 你的条件不错，最关键的是找到11年级的位置。喜欢女校可以再加两所，Miss Porter's 和, Emma Willard 。

@NJ-DA-16D南宁莹妈：请教：美高结束升大学，I20表已经落定，回程机票已经订好，护照明年七月份到期。考虑到明年暑假可能参加实习等活动不回国，现在换领新护照的话对乘机登机、原签证美国入境有影响吗？

用不着第一天就报，但今年的三次和明年一月七号的要尽量提前规划好报名。

大家好！孩子9月份初三，自己要出国的意愿非常强，8月已经报名开始学习托福，想一边准备中考，一边准备标化. 另外孩子是01年9月份出生的，在班级里年龄是最大的（但是按照国内是正常上学），想问大家是不9申10好一些？如果申9 的话是不很多学校都有限制？

九月份的生日，绝大部分学校可以九申九。整体上看，九申九会比九申十稍容易，但具体到每一所学校，这个难易程度会主要由学校当年的九年级和十年级名额来决定。所以如果申请难度是你做决定的重要因素，需要申请前先掌握各年级的招生名额，再做申九或者申十的决定。

In consideration of my/my child’s participation in any School Activity, I acknowledge that I am aware of the possible risks, dangers, and hazards associated with participation in the School Activity, including the possible risk of severe or fatal injury to me/my child or others. 这个没有什么变通的余地，要么签，要么放弃，选其他你可以接受条款的学校。一般而言，学校应该把学校的重大疏忽排除于免责之外。
